Author Biography
Bonnie Baumgartner is an active community member, wife, and mother of three children. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Illinois State University and incorporates compassion and social-emotional elements into her writing.
Mother Moon was inspired by the birth of Bonnie’s daughter in 2016 and written shortly after her entrance to the world. Five years later the book was brought to life by the talented illustrator, Emily Velazquez.
Mother Moon is Bonnie Baumgartner’s debut children’s book. The story celebrates the special bond between mother and daughter and hopes to inspire children to follow their dreams, the importance of kindness, voicing their opinions, and being brave.
